Internal Number: JPF03343 Assistant/Associate/Full Professor – Adjunct, In Residence, HS Clinical, or Clinical X, Department of Radiation Oncology The Department of Radiation Oncology is seeking to appoint one or two open-rank faculty who will conduct primary basic and translational research. We seek highly motivated and accomplished scientists who will establish a multi-disciplinary program in cancer and radiation biology focused on DNA repair, immunotherapy, and/or tumor microenvironment using a broad array of approaches, such as genomics, single-cell analysis, or bioinformatics, applied to tumor models and patient specimens. The candidate will manage a research laboratory at UCSF Mount Zion campus comprised of students, postdoctoral fellows, laboratory scientists, computational biologists and/or bioinformaticians. The successful candidate will be expected to establish a dynamic and interactive research program related to radiation biology and oncology, to join one of our top-ranked interdisciplinary graduate programs (see https://graduate.ucsf.edu/list-programs ), to excel at graduate teaching and inclusive mentoring, and to participate in activities that promote equity and inclusion. Service and teaching expectations are comparable to those of any other tenure-track faculty position. Faculty appointment will be made at a professorial rank commensurate with current academic standing.
