About the Opportunity: Northeastern University's new Institute - The Institute for Experiential Robotics (IER) - has established a Research Scientist position dealing with cutting edge research in wireless technologies and Robotics.
Responsibilities: The Associate Research Scientist will perform basic or applied research in an area of considerable scope and complexity and will plan independent research and analyze and publish the results. The Associate Research Scientist will also assist with preparing grant proposals and provide functional and administrative supervision over supporting research staff and transfers technical and statistical expertise.
Qualifications: Must have a Ph.D. or equivalent in robotics, or related engineering and science disciplines; must have progressively responsible experience that demonstrates the ability to plan and execute research.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills are essential, as are time-management and organizational skills. Good written and verbal communication skills and organizational talents are expected. Proposal preparations for sponsored research funding, research experience involving experiments, and project management experience are pluses.
