The Department of Radiology at Stanford University seeks a qualified individual to fill the Research Development Administrator (ASA 1) role for the department's central research administration office. The Research Development Administrator, under the general supervision of the Director of Strategic Research Development, will support and be responsible for activities associated with a research administration office with a strong focus on, but not limited to, pre-award administration. We are seeking an individual to administer and support activities of new and ongoing programs. He/she will provide programmatic and administrative support for Radiology research initiatives, including development of training programs, web resources, grant resources, including development of a document library. Some knowledge of research administration, including budget development, editing/writing skills, document control, and project management is expected. He/she will also collaborate other departments, offices and groups across the Stanford campus, including the Research Management Group (RMG) and the Office of Sponsored Research (OSR). This individual will be a key contact for a large, research-intensive department that provides research resources for faculty, staff, trainees and colleagues from 15 different sections in the Department of Radiology, including 12 clinical sections and 5 research sections. The successful candidate will represent the director and entire department with their expertise performing the following duties:
Independently implement, administer and evaluate day-to-day activities of the unit, function or program by identifying and executing tasks and objectives, making recommendations that impact policies and programs, and assigning resources to achieve the goals of the program.
Collect and analyze data, create reports, review and explain trends; formulate and evaluate alternative solutions and/or recommendations to achieve the goals of the program or function.
Analyze and interpret policies; develop, revise and implement procedures for program or function
Represent the program or function as the key contact and subject matter expert within the department, unit or school. Commit resources and provide information and/or training. May also represent the program or function to external/internal stakeholders and constituencies.
Organize and/or participate in outreach activities that may include developing communications and training, planning/promoting events and/or conferences.
May participate in development of budgets, monitor, and approve expenditures. May perform limited forecasting and provide recommendations that determine the budget.
May direct staff to perform various tasks and assignments. May also supervise staff.

The ideal candidate should have knowledge of working in all Microsoft products, such as, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
Experience with Tableau dashboards a strong plus but not required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
