The Alumni Career Engagement Manager is responsible for fostering alumni career connections that support student and alumni career engagement. This position is responsible for ensuring that Stanford Alumni Association's (SAA) alumni career engagement efforts, including program development, marketing and metrics, are managed successfully. This role will work closely with SAA and campus partners.
In this role you will:
Work with SAA and campus partners to develop and execute career programs that foster alumni career connections for students, recent graduates, and alumni across the global alumni community so that alumni may give and receive career support.
Cultivate alumni professional communities, alumni diversity communities and alumni regional communities as a career resource for students and alumni, in partnership with Alumni Communities and the Diversity and Inclusion team.
Work with BEAM, Stanford Career Education, campus career centers and undergraduate advising to identify and market relevant career resources for alumni.
Respond to alumni and employer career related inquiries.
Support alumni careers strategy, as needed, by managing strategic projects, including development of metrics, evaluating career solution options, etc.
Maintain a commitment to promoting and supporting an environment of diversity and inclusion.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to represent the university professionally both internally and externally.
Demonstrated experience with volunteer development and oversight.
Demonstrated experience in program and/or project management.
Strong interpersonal, team, and leadership skills; tact and flexibility in working with diverse population groups.
Ability to work effectively with partners to achieve desired outcomes.
Sound judgment, the ability to analyze problems quickly and accurately, and the ability to develop practical and effective solutions to solve a variety of problems.
Computer proficiency (Excel) and the ability to learn new systems.
