Le Moyne College. Applications for a Professor of Practice for teaching and working with the faculty in developing and coordinating effective models of student teaching. In addition to teaching student teachers, the selected professional will be responsible for recruiting and involving high quality school partners and host teachers, managing instructionally appropriate placements of student teachers, and representing the department with Statewide teacher preparation organizations.
Candidates should have a minimum 10 years of classroom teaching experience in K-12 public schools and be recognized as an effective teacher as evaluated through APPR. Experience with grant-funded projects related to preservice and in-service teacher development is preferred. Successful candidates will have a strong ability to communicate and coordinate various stakeholder groups and be skillful in organizing, analyzing and managing data, utilizing electronic portfolio systems, and coordinating reports with our accreditation team.
