1.Support the goals and objectives of the Department through administration and organizational functions. Prioritize responsibilities within a high‐volume work area. 2.Provide administrative support for all external accreditation requirements such as assistance with the CAPTE submission portal and obtaining/maintaining files necessary for accreditation. Perform yearly audits of required faculty documents including licensure. 3.Proofread and edit various documents and presentations, create/maintain new policy forms, program websites and other on‐line forms of communications (e.g., social media sites) related to the department and College/School. Assist and support team writing and editing of handbooks. 4.Assist in performance of administrative duties of the Chair of the Department of Physical Therapy and department faculty and students as appropriate. Assist with preparation of full faculty and/or committee meeting agendas and minutes. 5.Manage the Department Chair's calendar, as well as the student cohort calendars and general calendars for the department; assist with course scheduling and room/audio-visual reservations for faculty and students. 6.Assist with preparing and monitoring budgets within the Department; obtain pricing for and managing inventory of departmental purchases; prepare purchase orders. Assist with reimbursements for faculty and staff and facilitate payment of associated faculty. 7.Collaborate with the Department Chair regarding course staffing; communicate with the Registrar regarding course scheduling and subsequent changes; communicate with students regarding course scheduling and changes. 8.Organize and/or assist with organization of department events including but not limited to student orientation, professionalism ceremonies, recruitment events, graduation events, and faculty retreats. 9.Interact with staff across campus: coordinate office moves; maintain copier, printers, and other small office machines; maintain adequate supply of office supplies; collect, sort, and distribute mail for the departmental faculty. 10.Complete required paperwork for new faculty including office space, computer phone, email, voicemail, keys, and parking sticker. Orientate new faculty to building and campus; instruct new faculty how to use copier, printers, and other equipment including computer programs and technical teaching equipment. 11.Assist with onboarding of new students and ongoing support of current students including answering student questions about campus services, coordinating distribution of student onboarding supplies, providing access to necessary educational platforms, and completing student registration. 12.Perform other duties and responsibilities, as needed, in support of the Program, School, and College.
A Bachelor's degree is preferred
A minimum of two (2) years in an administrative support role required. Experience within an institution of higher education preferred.
The primary role of the Physical Therapy Coordinator is to assist the Department of Physical Therapy with completing essential administrative functions. These functions will include but are not limited to assisting with accreditation, inventory, budget, registration, scheduling, and event management.
