FINANCIAL ASSISTANT II , Center for Environmental Health Sciences (CEHS) , to perform tasks related to accounting and general program support for the center. Will support, under minimal supervision, the CEHS fiscal officer on day-to-day financial functions. This will include maintaining financial records, filing and tracking packing slips, processing reimbursements, placing orders, following up with vendors/purchasers/invoices, generating journal vouchers, reconciling monthly detailed transaction reports and managing FRC records, matching credit card statements with receipts, assisting with travel arrangements, preparing and submitting travel reports, updating service facilities usage reports, preparing monthly service facilities billing and backup, running core billing reports, and handling related tasks as needed. Will also perform a variety of duties such as sorting, filing, scanning, and copying as needed to reorganize and archive financial records; and help with other duties as necessary.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : a high school diploma or its equivalent; at least three years of basic financial accounting, office, or related experience; strong organizational and time management skills; attention to detail; and facility with written communication, especially email. Must be able to work independently; handle multiple tasks simultaneously; work closely with other staff members; and perform accounting functions and word processing, including some troubleshooting and system updating.
