The New Balance Foundation Obesity Prevention Center, in our acclaimed Endocrinology Division, seeks a Clinical Nutrition Research Coordinator with an interest in community outreach. The successful candidate will work on an exciting wraparound model for treating children with or at risk for obesity. Integration of services between health care systems and community partners, and care coordination to ensure appropriate utilization of services are essential to this model. As a member of an integrated care team, the Clinical Nutrition Research Coordinator will conduct visits with families to provide education and counseling.
The Clinical Nutrition Research Coordinator I will be responsible for:
Providing basic nutritional care to patients.
Evaluating the medical, biochemical, and nutritional information, and assessing patient needs in order to develop and implement the most appropriate nutrition care plans.
Participating in the development of nutrition education materials for use in primary care and community organizations.
To qualify, you must have:
Bachelor's degree in nutrition or a closely related field, plus up to one year of post-degree course work and/or an internship.
Analytical skills to resolve complex problems requiring the use of scientific, mathematical, or technical principles and in-depth, experienced-based knowledge.
Good communication skills to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions and well-developed writing skills.
Registration by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as a dietitian, as well as licensure by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Ability to speak fluently in Spanish a plus.
Currently the position is 100% remote, with potential for a flexible hybrid model in the future. This employee must reside in MA, NH or RI to qualify for the BCH remote work policy.
