Under the general supervision of the Practice Manager and Clinical Supervisor, the Dental Assistant is responsible to provide quality care and excellent customer service. This includes: performing 4-handed chair side assisting, preparation & maintenance of dental instruments, and instrument transfers. Taking appropriate diagnostic quality digital x-rays.
Assist with various Periodontal procedures including implants, healing abutment, bone grafts, and sinus lift surgeries
Prepare the operatories for procedures.
Organize and coordinate patients information and dental radiographs.
Prepare patients for procedures which include delivering patient oral hygiene instruction.
Provide patients with post surgical instructions and education.
Take intra & extra oral photographs.
Support residents and faculty with charting and record-keeping via computerized system.
Responsible for ordering products and supplies as well as keeping accurate inventory.
Clean, sterilize, and set up treatment operatories in a timely manner.
Disinfect and sterilize instruments for re-circulation.
Must have Massachusetts Dental Assistant Licensure - CPR and Radiology Certification required.
1-3 Years of experience required.
