Candidates with an advanced degree in an academic discipline, combined with strong experience or training in instructional design will be considered. At least two years of experience in online course design and development gained as an instructional designer, instructional technologist, trainer, instructional librarian or related position. Strong knowledge of adult learning theory, experience with Blackboard and/or Canvas. Experience with Quality Matters rubric; online teaching experience in higher education; experience providing technology training for faculty. Digital multimedia fluency (including digital image manipulation, video/audio editing, HTML, presentation software, various ed-tech platforms). Portfolio of course design examples required. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
