Join Palo Alto Veterans Institute for Research (PAVIR) as a full-time Clinical Research Assistant to support fascinating research associated with examination of the physiology and function of the human circadian timing system and sleep. ABOUT THIS RESEARCH ASSISTANT ROLE The Research Assistant will be responsible for day-to-day interactions with research participants: screening, recruiting, consenting and following up with study subjects, administering cognitive tests, as well as collecting samples and data. The Research Assistant will work under the direction of the Principal Investigator Jamie Zeitzer, Ph.D. - Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University. Dr. Zeitzer is a circadian physiologist specializing in the understanding of the impact of light on circadian rhythms and other aspects of non-image forming light perception. This a full-time position, located in Palo Alto, CA. Schedule: The Research Assistant will need to be available to work weekends and overnight shifts (2-3 per week) to accommodate circadian timing system and sleep schedules. There will be some flexibility to work from home, but around 80% of the time you will be working onsite at the VA Hospital in Palo Alto.
