Internal Number: JPF03633 Assistant/Associate/Full Rank Professor The UCSF Musculoskeletal (MSK) Center is seeking visionary scientists to join our vibrant campus-wide community. This open-rank, faculty position in the In Residence or Ladder series is part of a multiyear initiative to expand and diversify our team of researchers who study the normal and abnormal function of the musculoskeletal system and embrace a culture of collaboration with other basic, translational, computational, and clinical investigators throughout UCSF. Candidates are expected to hold a Ph.D., to have demonstrated significant research accomplishment and potential, including doctoral and post-doctoral research, a commitment to research relevant to the musculoskeletal system, and a commitment to mentorship of new investigators – particularly from groups that are underrepresented. The successful candidate is expected to bring specific research knowledge and focus, along with a desire to bridge areas of expertise across disciplines at UCSF such as stem cell, developmental, or aging biology; bioengineering; metabolism and metabolic disease; clinical research; or immunology. Candidates working in all areas of basic and translational science are welcome to apply. The successful candidate will be appointed in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.
