Internal Number: JR66998 Scheduled Hours40Position SummaryA Bioinformatician position is available in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Department of Medicine. We are seeking a talented, self-motivated Bioinformatics Scientist with background in developing data processing pipelines and omics data analysis to support our NIH-funded research projects on innate and adaptive immune response to HIV infection using in vitro and mouse models. Under the direction of the principal investigator, this individual will apply computational techniques in analyzing large-scale genomics/transcriptomics/microbiome data, create data-driven models and data visualizations, write and prepare manuscripts and other materials for internal and external audiences, and assist in grant applications.Job DescriptionPrimary Duties and Responsibilities

Required QualificationsBachelorâ™s degree in computer science, bioinformatics, biostatistics, or related field plus four years of experience; or masterâ™s degree in computer science, bioinformatics, biostatistics, or related field plus two years of experience; or combined education and experience of nine years. GradeR11Salary Range$51,400.00 - $93,400.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
