One of largest clinical departments within the School of Medicine, the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences has a great tradition of fundamental science, translational and clinical research, subspecialty expertise, multidisciplinary education, and influential leadership. The overarching aim of creating a better future is predicated on our shared pursuit of discovery across the basic, translational, clinical, and population sciences and on our collaborative efforts to translate new knowledge in our training of scientists and expert clinicians, in supporting the careers of outstanding faculty and learners, and in addressing the needs of communities, local and global. The Department is now building its first proposal development support team. We are seeking a Research Administrator 2 to work under the direction of Assistant Director of Research Finance to assist with proposal preparation for sponsored projects, such as federal grants, foundation grants, fellowships and other funding opportunities. The RA2 will serve as Department resource for faculty, postdocs, and staff to assist with questions that arise during the pre-award grant or fellowship process. This position will work closely with the faculty and external departments, and the School of Medicine Research Management Group. This position may have a flexible work location, with the possible ability to be either co-located near the Stanford campus in Redwood City, CA as a hybrid or remote worker, or any other U.S. based location as a remote worker with the opportunity to travel to campus for department meetings. Duties Include: * - Other duties may also be assigned DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree and three years of job related experience, or combination of education and experience. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED): * Basic knowledge of governmental regulations. CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES: * Cardinal Curriculum I and II must be completed to remain in this position. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*: * Frequently sit, grasp lightly, use fine manipulation and perform desk-based computer tasks, lift, carry, push and pull objects weighing up to ten pounds. * - Consistent with its obligations under the law, the University will provide reasonable accommodation to any employee with a disability who requires accommodation to perform the essential functions of his or her job.
