Required:

• PhD and/or MD degree with at least 5 years of relevant research experience in academia and/or industry
• Strong background in molecular biology, RNA biology, and mammalian cell culture
• Proven track record in research
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Preferred:

• Experience with RNA formulation, protein production, and technology development
• Experience with gene transfer, functional genomics, or immunology

Responsibilities of Research Scientist will include molecular cloning, RNA purification, protein production, cell culture, protocol optimization and scaling, novel assay development, attendance at weekly lab meetings, and participation in the training of postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and research assistants. S/he will be involved in multiple projects and will be expected to make scientific and written contributions to justify first or co-authorship on manuscripts for publication.
