Nurse Practitioner, Per Diem
Under the general supervision of the Department of Family & Community Medicine, Director of Family Medicine Inpatient Service, and Chief of Service, ZSFG and in accordance with standardized procedures, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for assessment and optimization of patients admitted to the Family Medicine Inpatient Service at ZSFG as well as assessment and management of patients with acute or chronic pain. The NP obtains a health history and performs a physical assessment, identifies problems, and develop and implement long and short-range treatment plans formulates plans that include further diagnostic evaluation, risk stratification, and counseling.
