POSITION SUMMARY The Buck Institute is getting ready to run its first clinical research studies to investigate the effects of food on aging in older adults. We are looking for an organized and motivated nurse to join our team and oversee the study visits to the Buck. The Clinical Research Nurse is primarily responsible for the accurate completion of visit procedures and collection of information from study patients according to protocols, and for protecting the health, safety, and welfare of research participants. Specific examples include study questionnaires, venous cannulation and blood draws, and light exercise testing. The Clinical Research Nurse may supervise , Research Associateswith the entire team working under the guidance and supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI) to ensure that the integrity and quality of clinical trials are maintained and conducted in accordance w/ federal, state, and local regulations, Institutional Review Board (IRB) approvals, and Buck policies and procedures.
