Lab Assistant 2 - Institute for Neurodegenerative Diseases
This position is for a Lab Assistant 2 in a BSL-2 and BSL-3 facility. Our mission is to find cures for neurodegenerative diseases and this includes working with prions. Our institute is composed roughly of 50 scientists, postdoctoral fellows and technicians. Under the direction of the IND Lab Manager, the Lab Assistants will help with general operation of a large (approx. 26000 square ft) lab, in the Sandler Neurosciences building on the Mission Bay campus. Training will be provided to follow specific IND lab procedures for support and the maintenance of the BSL-2 and BSL-3 labs.
