Notre Dame de Namur University (NDNU) School of Education is recruiting a Program Director/faculty for its Special Education Program to begin in summer 2022. The program offers the Education Specialist Mild/Moderate [Mild/Moderate Support Needs] and Education Specialist Moderate Severe [Extensive Support Needs] Teaching Credentials as well as a Master of Arts in Special Education. NDNU seeks a strong candidate with Special Education experience in public school settings. The candidate should have the ability to oversee the credential and MA programs, be familiar with California Commission on Teacher Credential Education Specialist Program Standards and Teaching Performance Expectations, collaborate with faculty and university supervisors in program review and development, teach courses, and advise/mentor candidates in the program. The Program Director will collaborate with School of Education colleagues in the Multiple Subject Credential, Singles Subject Credential, Administrative Services Credential programs, and other MA programs on university and school-wide projects as well as outreach to the K-12 education community.
