The School of Nursing's legacy of leadership is focused on the integration of research, education, and clinical practice and evidenced in more than 22,000 alumni serving as expert clinicians, executive nurse leaders, deans and directors of nursing programs, nurse scientists, advanced practice registered nurses, and other professional leaders. The School is ranked in the top nursing schools nationwide by U.S. News and World Report and offers innovative baccalaureate, post-baccalaureate, master's, post-master's, doctoral and post-doctoral programs. Candidates for this faculty position with expertise in Nurse Anesthesia with demonstrated skills in both clinical and didactic settings, including simulation are encouraged to apply. A minimum of a doctoral degree in Nursing (DNP, PhD, or nurse anesthesia DNAP) is required. Candidates must hold national certification and active licensure or be eligible for licensure as a CRNA in Alabama. Rank, tenure, and salary are competitive and commensurate with professional background and experience. Faculty may elect different degrees of emphasis on the teaching, service and scholarship components of the faculty role. This is not a remote position.
